The idea

Applications in the winter sports sector have been among the most important areas of use for our multiaxial fabrics from the very beginning. Together with well-known manufacturers in the industry, we were able to play an innovative role in the rapid development of skis and snowboards back in the early 1990s.

But what is special about the Austrian-based company is not only the high-quality boards. The special feature is the sustainable way in which the boards are manufactured.

There are probably only a few companies worldwide that implement the topic of sustainable production as consistently as CAPiTA. "Hand-crafted in Austria - with 100% clean energy" is the impressive slogan that is lived by all employees. The production facility in Nötsch is referred to as the "Mothership" and is the world's first production facility for snowboards with 100% clean energy.

How SAERTEX^® reinforced this idea

CAPiTA boards have always offered extremely good performance and are ridden by the world's best-known athletes. Presented by the in-house Capita Pro Team, they are considered the measure of all things and offer the best material performance in combination with perfect tuning. Depending on the area of use, more or less emphasis is placed on torsional stiffness.
A board that is mainly used in the park should offer more flex than a powder board, which is tuned to be harder. This is mainly possible due to the countless article constructions of the SAERTEX reinforcements. Depending on the type of fiber, weight per unit area and orientation, different mechanical properties can be achieved, which can be perfectly matched to the final application areas of the boards.
